Crafts:
TNK Verse Review
TNK Verse File Card Holder
What you will need: Macaroni and cheese box, glue, paint, and decorative trims (optional)
What to do:
1.Carefully open up the ends of your box. Leave the side glued
together.Flatten out the box so that the front of the box is laying in front of
you as show in the first diagram. One of the side panels of the box should be on
the top. The top and bottom flaps should be laying flat also as shown in the
picture.
2. Cut the top fold as shown with the top red line in the first diagram. Cut
1" down on the front of the box as shown in the first diagram by the second
red line.
3. The box should still be laying flat. Remove the part you cut away. Your box
should look like the second diagram.
4. Measure 1" down from each side of the box (the top and bottom tabs) and
then draw a line up to top where the bottom or top tabs meat the back panel as
shown in the picture. Cut away the triangle shape.
5. Turn the box inside out and glue it back together.
4. Have the children paint the box and glue on decorative trims.
5. You may also want to glue magnets to the back of the box so that the boxes
can be stored on the refrigerator.
Accomplishment Can
:What you need:
Empty can with no sharp edges, Construction paper (different colors), Scissors, Ribbon (optional), Sticky-back magnet strip, Cellophane Tape, Pen
What you do:
Cut a strip of construction paper to fit around the can to cover it. Tape the paper in place around the can.
Tie a pretty ribbon around the top of the can.
Cut several 1-inch circles from different color papers. Put a piece of sticky-back magnet on each one.
Write something you would like to be able to do on each circle. Stick the circles with things you would like to accomplish around the outside of the can. Once you have accomplished something, move the circle into the inside of the can, and make a circle for something new you would like to achieve.
Keep accomplishment can on your desk for your pencils and pens. It will serve as a reminder to work hard at being the person that God wants you to be.
To accompany this activity:
Perseverance is when you keep trying, even when something is difficult.—

During the week:You can use all the suggested accomplishments plus the following:
1. Clean my room
2. Do my school work / homeschool work, home work
3. Practice my musical instrument (if you are learning to play one)
4. Help mom in the kitchen
5. Help dad with a choir
6. Help brother or sister with their choirs, homework, school work
I have listed a lot of different ideas above of things that you can put on your can. Think of some other things that I have not listed above, that you can add to your can. Everyday as you do the different task, take the circle with that task off the outside of the can, and put it in the can.
Some things that are on your accomplishment can might not be done that day. Don’t worry. We all get busy with different things during the day, and can not always accomplish everything. The idea is to try to accomplish as many as you can. Everyday you should be able to add more and more accomplishments to the can.
Don’t try to put to many accomplishments on yourself. Maybe you could start out with 3 or 4 accomplishments a day, and after a while you can add one or two. Your mom and dad can help you figure out what accomplishments are good for you to put on your can, and what accomplishments to add later on.
Have fun, learn a lot, accomplish what you can, and become a good person who follows YHWH and HIS commandments.
