Other Study Questions:
The following questions are not on the Lesson Plan.  You can write out in your own words, proving from the TNK why you answered the way you did, or you can make a study out of each of the questions, still proving from the TNK why you have given the answer you have.

1.  What do you see wrong with Israel loving one son more than the others?

2. How did jealousy hurt the family?

3. Show from the TNK, how jealousy is a bad thing.

One very important thing to remember through these studies is, even though being jealous is not a good thing, YHWH was and is always in charge.  For things that HE wants to happen, other things have to take place.
As you probably already know, and we are fixing to study, it turned out to be a good thing that  Joseph was sold as a slave and was put in Egypt.  This was all part of YHWH's plan, and in order for HIS plan to come about, Joseph's brothers had to be jealous of him, and want Joseph out of their way.
We don't always see the full picture while something is happening.  But, most (not always) we do see and understand things down the road.
Another lesson of this story and the rest of the story to come, is that we should not be discouraged about things that are happening to us now.  Always remember that YHWH is in charge, and HE is looking out for us.  :0)

Have a blessed Shabbat!
