Exodus Chapter 17:
Shabbat Shalom Everyone! This week we have another lesson plan, and it's all about Exodus chapter 17. This lesson is full of worksheets, puzzles, activities, and don't forget the lesson plan itself.

Banner Here is a banner that I made. You can color the letters and background as you like. On the back of your banner, tell what the word banner means in verses 15-16.
15 And Moses
built an altar and called it,
YHWH is my banner.
16 He said, "A hand upon the banner of YHWH! YHWH will have war
with Amalek from generation to generation."
Activities:
1.) Activity Book:
Click on a links below to copy the activity.
You will need one copy of the front, and one copy of the back. You will need several or more copies of the middle, depends on which activity you want to do below, and how many pages you would like in your book.
Preschool
* Draw around their hands (if you choose to save the images and print
out in a program like Publisher you can enlarge templates to be certain
that the hands will fit).
* Sharing - Write on each page "I can share my food", "I can share my
toys" etc. and illustrate with magazine pictures.
* Helping - Write on each page "I can help my mummy", "I can help my
daddy" etc. or "I can wash the dishes", "I can pick up my toys", etc.
and illustrate with appropriate pictures.
Primary (Elementary)
* Similar idea to above but have children write more than illustrate.
Have them list specific ways they can share or help with others.
Alternatively let them draw pictures on the pages to illustrate ideas.
* Use the booklet as a journal where they can keep record of the ways
they have shared or helped during the week.
Any Age
* Write your name on the front, and decorate it as you like.
* Write on each inside page a miracle that YHWH has done so far from Genesis to Exodus 17. If you like you can write more than one miracle on a page.
* You can also Illustrate each page or the pages that you like that go along with each miracle.

3.) Learning to read a map:
Here is a link to a colored map of the Israelites track with Moses. You can see where the Israelites camped at Rephidim. Study the map and see if you can see the rock at Horeb. See what else you can see from this map. What do you notice? Mark on the map where the rock at Horeb is, and any other places that is not already marked. MAP
